During the 2020 pandemic, Munich enacted a one-month lockdown. In that isolated and introspective period, I began creating a daily journal using jewelry techniques—transcribing emotions into material form, with each piece accompanied by written reflections. This practice later echoed the theory of autoethnography I encountered during my postgraduate studies in the UK.
The series consists of 36 small works, each incorporating contemporary found objects—an expired bank card, a Lego dinosaur from a friend, other overlooked fragments of daily life. By the end of the month, I had nearly exhausted all available materials around me. Each object became a tangible record of that day’s emotional state, a quiet yet resilient testimony to life in confinement.
